This one's for the ladies!!

First of all.... I AM SORRY! I think this is the longest gap in posts I've ever had. No excuses - just time for me to get back on track. Thanks to all of you who called me out this weekend for being gone so long :)

Have all of you read Cherie Chan's post about " Why CrossFit Ruined My Life" ?- if not, go do it! This weekend I was reminded of exactly what she meant when she says:
Because of CrossFit, I will never be alone: There will always be friends I should spend time with, athletes, I need to train and new people I want to get to know.

This weekend CrossFit Central took a crew to CrossFit Champions for the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest Obliteration. I was kinda excited and kinda wishing I could sleep in my own bed and have a 'weekend' (whatever that means). However, when we arrived at Pam and Matt's new place I was reminded of why
CrossFit Is What I Do!

Chardonnay Poole 1st - me - Emily Baker 3rd

I love the energy - I love the workouts - I love the competition - I LOVE THE LADIES I've gotten to know over the past year of competition and CrossFit.

We don't see each other very often but secretly 'stalk' each other online - inspire each other with Facebook posts - educate each other thru blogs - trade fashion tips thru CrossFit photos - and once every few months we come together like long lost friends (sometimes trying to match a name with a familiar face).

So, Lori, Katie, Leah, Wendy, Laura (x2), Pam, Emily, Chardonnay, Crystal, Jennifer, Brittnay, Lindsay, Stephanie, Shelby....(and I am sure I left a couple of you out!) THANK YOU for making my weekend great.

Just for fun, here is a video of me and Chardonnay in the first WOD. See more pictures and videos from the weekend on SICFIT
